Job summary

The CBC/Radio-Canada OTT Team is seeking an Android Senior Developer to advance our French services across TV, web and mobile platforms in a hybrid telework arrangement.

You will design and implement high‑performant mobile applications, collaborate with product owners, architects and QA, and contribute to Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and ExoPlayer based features while ensuring code quality and scalable architecture.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in software development.
• Experience in developing complex and high‑performance mobile applications.
• Proficiency in Android Studio, Git, and the Kotlin language.
• Experience in developing an application published on Google Play.
• Experience in code review contexts (pull requests).
• Knowledge of MVP/MVVM design patterns and SOLID principles is a plus.
• Bilingual English and French spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Design and/or modify reusable components for CBC/Radio-Canada's digital platforms, including the audio/video player.
• Ensure compliance with standards and quality throughout projects.
• Stay informed of trends in digital development and propose proactive solutions.
• Participate in Agile Scrum activities and develop user stories.
• Ensure high performance of applications under load and participate in deployments.
