Scribd, Inc. is seeking a senior analytics engineering leader to own canonical data models for payments, billing, and subscriptions, across Scribd, Everand, and Fable.

You will define KPI and semantic layers for payments and identity, and extend governance to Trust & Safety metrics, while ensuring data quality and lineage across systems. You will report to the Director, Analytics Engineering, collaborating with Product Analytics, Data Science, Product, and Engineering partners to deliver

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, BI engineering or related field.
• Deep payments expertise including processor data from Stripe, Adyen, Braintree, PayPal, or similar.
• Practical experience with identity and authentication data.
• Depth in governed, canonical data models and semantic layers, with ability to define and version metrics.
• Advanced SQL and production experience with Databricks, AWS, Looker, Airbyte, Fivetran, or comparable platforms.
• Experience making data reliable for AI consumption.
• Proven ability to influence senior product and engineering leaders and translate payment economics into clear business trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Own the canonical data models for payments, billing, and subscriptions across Scribd, Everand, and Fable.
• Own the KPI and semantic layer for payments and identity exposed through self-serve dashboards and AI tools.
• Extend the discipline to Trust & Safety, owning models and metrics for prevalence and exposure.
• Drive quality, observability and lineage to catch changes in days, not quarters.
• Build AI tools on trusted foundations, with metrics and tables kept in sync as definitions change.
• Raise the technical bar by establishing modeling and metric conventions and mentoring analysts.
