About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our growing Data & Analytics team. As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will evolve our foundational data infrastructure to primarily support our finance department. You will own the analytics infrastructure for these products end-to-end — from data ingestion, to reporting, to activation — ensuring high data quality and availability for our data sets. You will work with the business, engineering, and analytics teams to lay the foundation for effective reporting and analysis needed to scale up these ventures. As a senior member of the team, you’ll promote strong standards throughout the organization and help level-up team members through the adoption of software engineering best-practices.

Responsibilities

• Champion a data-driven culture by shaping data to facilitate analysis, insight generation, and decision-making
• Ingest, clean, and organize raw data to ensure usability and accessibility for the team
• Lead data projects from ingestion to reporting, overseeing scope and reducing ambiguity
• Liaise between Business, Engineering, and Data to translate requirements into effective data capture and schema design
• Shape the data model at Super to advance analytics strategy and build organizational trust
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze existing processes and implement improved, automated workflows

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an analytics engineer or full-stack data analyst
• Proven expertise in SQL, with an emphasis on writing performant, maintainable code
• Deep knowledge of data modeling and experience designing schemas (ideally using dbt)
• Strong understanding of data warehouses and the modern data stack
• Demonstrated track record of delivering projects and building datasets that drive key business outcomes
• Ability to self-serve by building ELT and reverse-ETL pipelines using off-the-shelf tools or lightweight DAGs in Airflow with Python
• Experience leveraging tools for data governance, data quality testing, and documentation
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and serve as a liaison between Business, Engineering, and Analytics

Compensation: $113,000 - $165,000 a year. As a remote-first organization we use benchmarking data reflective of your geographical areas to ensure our compensation package is competitive based on where you reside. Your TA partner will confirm which range applies to your location as part of the hiring process.

Canada Tier 1: $118,000 - $152,000 CAD; Greater Toronto Area (City of Toronto, York Region, Durham Region, Peel Region, Halton Region) - Metro Vancouver (City of Vancouver, North Shore, Burnaby, New Westminster, Tri-Cities, Fraser Valley Edge, South of the Fraser River, and Richmond) Tier 2: $113,000 - $145,000 CAD - All other Regions and Municipalities

USA $118,000 - $165,000 USD
