OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Home Financing Product & Campaign Analytics to support the client’s Home Financing business by delivering advanced analytics, reporting, and decision-support solutions. This role will act as a trusted analytics partner to business stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable insights that inform product strategy, campaign performance, and customer outcomes across the home financing portfolio.

The successful candidate will bring strong hands‑on experience in SQL and SAS, a solid understanding of statistical and experimentation frameworks, and the ability to independently lead analytical initiatives from requirements gathering through delivery. This role is well suited for a highly analytical, consultative professional who thrives in a data‑driven, fast‑paced banking environment.

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 days in office per week; Mondays/Wednesdays preferred)

Contract Length: 12 Months (Extension or FTE Conversion Possible)

Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

Pay Rate: $45-50/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as a trusted analytics advisor to assigned business and product stakeholders within Home Financing.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced analytical and reporting solutions.
  • Consult with business partners to understand requirements, goals, and objectives related to data and business intelligence needs.
  • Break down complex strategic problems and analyze data to deliver clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Design, develop, and maintain regular and ad‑hoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations for diverse audiences.
  • Structure and assemble multi‑dimensional datasets across varying levels of granularity (e.g., customer, product, transaction, demographic).
  • Cleanse, manipulate, and transform large datasets using SQL, SAS, and other analytical tools for modeling and validation.
  • Apply statistical and measurement techniques including A/B testing, treatment/control frameworks, and model validation.
  • Validate and test analytical models to assess performance, accuracy, and compliance with internal standards.
  • Automate data validation and quality checks to improve efficiency and reliability of analytical outputs.
  • Identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities to inform product and campaign decision‑making.
  • Promote self‑serve analytics, reporting automation, and adoption of analytics‑driven decision making across the business.
  • Monitor analytics and reporting tool performance, support UAT activities, and resolve issues as needed.
  • Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources to enable streamlined reporting and enhanced insights.
  • Support the development and execution of strategic analytics and reporting roadmaps.
  • Develop documentation, operational procedures, and best practices related to analytics and reporting processes.
  • Deliver training and enablement sessions to non‑technical users on reporting tools and self‑serve analytics capabilities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives.
  • Exercise independent judgment in diagnosing and solving non‑routine analytical problems.
  • Take ownership of assigned initiatives and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as business needs evolve.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or advanced reporting roles.
  • Strong hands‑on expertise in SQL and SAS (SAS certification strongly preferred).
  • Solid experience in data preparation, transformation, validation, and statistical analysis.
  • Deep understanding of measurement and experimentation techniques (A/B testing, treatment/control design).
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into clear insights, narratives, and recommendations.
  • Strong data visualization and data storytelling skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration, stakeholder management, and consulting skills.
NICE TO HAVES
  • Prior experience in home financing, mortgages, or HELOCs within a banking environment.
  • Experience with RESL analytics.
  • Previous experience working in a regulated financial institution.
  • Exposure to project leadership or analytics initiative ownership.
  • Experience with R, Python, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
EDUCATION
  • Post‑secondary degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
