Senior Analog / Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer – Hybrid (Essex, UK)

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Analog IC Design Engineer to join a growing semiconductor company developing innovative Analog and Mixed-Signal ASICs for next-communication and signal processing systems.

You’ll take a hands-on role in the design, simulation, and verification of advanced Analog and Mixed-Signal sub-systems for sub-6GHz ICs, collaborating with multi-site teams to deliver high-performance, right-first-time silicon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop Analog and Mixed-Signal IC blocks (Filters, PLLs, Bandgaps, Bias Circuits, Multiplexers, etc.)
  • Work across SiGe and CMOS technologies using Cadence Virtuoso and industry-standard design tools
  • Support ASIC characterisation and test plan development in partnership with global teams
  • Produce detailed design documentation and contribute to design-for-manufacture improvements
Requirements
  • Master’s or PhD in Electronic / Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years’ experience in Analog IC Design or Mixed-Signal IC Design
  • Expertise with Cadence Virtuoso, EM tools, and layout techniques
  • Solid understanding of linearity, noise, mismatch, and stability
  • Experience in SiGe Bipolar and CMOS semiconductor processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an open, collaborative mindset
