Job summary

Synechron is seeking a Senior AI Full Stack Engineer to join a strategic technology initiative within client’s Capital Markets in Toronto. You will design and develop AI-powered applications spanning data engineering, backend services, frontend development, and Generative AI, building scalable data products and AI solutions across the tech stack.

The base salary in Toronto ranges CAD 110k–120k per year with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent.
• 6+ years software development experience.
• 2+ years GenAI/LLM experience.
• Experience with Agile teams.
• Data engineering and pipeline design experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop modern data pipelines using Dagster and dbt.
• Build scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Develop RESTful APIs and asynchronous services for high performance applications.
• Create responsive and intuitive web applications using React, TypeScript, TanStack Query / Router / Table, TailwindCSS.
• Build and optimize Retrieval Augmented Generation pipelines.
• Integrate Large Language Models into enterprise applications.
• Implement Model Context Protocol integrations for AI agent workflows.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior AI Full Stack Engineer to join a strategic technology initiative within client’s Capital Markets. The successful candidate will help design and develop modern AI powered applications by combining expertise in data engineering, backend services, frontend development, and Generative AI. The ideal candidate is passionate about building scalable data products and AI solutions while working across the full technology stack.

Additional Information: The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON/Halifax, NS is CAD 110k – CAD 120k per year and benefits (see below).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop modern data pipelines using Dagster and dbt.
• Build scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within Agile teams.
• Data Engineering expertise: strong experience with Dagster, hands‑on experience with dbt, good understanding of Medallion Architecture, experience building scalable data pipelines, data quality and validation frameworks, experience developing data products.
• Backend Development: advanced Python, FastAPI, REST API development, async programming, microservices architecture.
• Frontend Development: React 18/19, TypeScript, TanStack Query / Router / Table, TailwindCSS, modern frontend architecture.
• AI / Machine Learning: hands‑on experience building RAG applications, experience integrating Large Language Models, prompt engineering, vector databases, Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI application orchestration.

Preferred Skills

• Azure or AWS cloud experience.
• Docker and Kubernetes proficiency.
• CI CD pipelines experience.
• GitHub Actions.
• PostgreSQL knowledge.
• Snowflake or Databricks.
