Job summary

Sun Life is seeking a visionary Assistant Vice President, Distinguished AI Domain Enterprise Architect to lead architectural design and acceleration of cutting-edge AI solutions globally.

You will mentor a distributed team, partner with business groups across Canada, the U.S., Asia, Corporate, SLC Management, and IT offices to align AI initiatives with enterprise goals and ensure scalable, compliant architectures.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in a strategic technology leadership role.
• 10+ years of experience in application or data architecture at enterprise level.
• 3–5 years specializing in AI (AI) with proven enterprise AI delivery at scale.
• Strong expertise in data ecosystems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Bilingual requirement noted for Quebec staff only (French/English).

Responsibilities

• Define and drive AI strategy, roadmaps, and governance for Sun Life.
• Mentor architects and engineers in AI capabilities and patterns.
• Lead AI POCs and scalable deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with business leaders and IT to deliver business value with AI.
• Ensure responsible AI practices and governance across domains.
