Who we are

We are the first publicly-traded biotech or pharmaceutical company to take the form of a public benefit corporation. Our public benefit purpose is to provide a brighter future for patients through the development of novel pharmaceutical therapies; and technologies that expand the availability of transplantable organs.

United Therapeutics (Nasdaq:UTHR) seeks to travel down the corridors of indifference to develop treatments for rare, deadly diseases. We were founded in 1996 by a family seeking a cure for their daughter’s pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Today, we have six FDA-approved therapies that treat PAH, pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD) and neuroblastoma, a rare pediatric cancer. Our near-term pipeline seeks to develop additional therapies for PAH and pulmonary fibrosis (PF).

The cure for end-stage life-threatening diseases like PAH, PH-ILD, PF, and many others is an organ transplant, but only a small percentage of donated organs are available to address the vast need. For this reason, we are working to create manufactured organs to address the shortage of kidneys, hearts, lungs, and livers available for transplant. We believe an unlimited supply of tolerable, transplantable organs will eliminate the transplant waiting list and cure end-stage organ diseases for which transplant is not currently an option.

Who you are

The Senior Aeronautical Technician supports (1) experimental electric helicopter modifications and maintenance, Remotely-Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) maintenance according to Unither's Maintenance Control and Policy Manual, (2) prototyping of parts, sub-assemblies and integration of those on the experimental aircraft, (3) flight readiness inspection, and (4) review of CAD 3D design. Unither Bioelectronics Inc. ("Unither"), a United Therapeutics Corporation wholly-owned subsidiary, operates in Bromont, QC, Canada. Unither is currently leading Research & Development activities related to the design and flight testing of eVTOL (electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing aircraft) technologies. This work aims at enabling and scaling optionally-piloted electric eVTOL as the primary transportation system that will deliver an unlimited supply of United Therapeutics Corporation manufactured organs to waiting patients, with a low impact on environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Technical Degree Québec's École Nationale d'Aérotechnique (ÉNA) degree
  • 4+ years of experience in aircraft/helicopter maintenance
  • Detailed knowledge of aviation maintenance standard practices
  • Capacity to adapt to evolving processes (R&D environment)
  • Capacity to adapt and ability to perform various tasks involving hands-on prototyping and office work (computer)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in RPAS operations
  • Private Pilot License
  • Knowledge or experience in using maintenance tracking software (CAMP)
  • Knowledge of 3D modelling parts and subassembly (hardware, tooling, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of Remotely-Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) operations
