THE ROLE

Under the direction of the Director IM / IT Business Services, the Senior Advisor, Solutions Architecture is :

Responsible for the development of strategic directions for our in‑house product, including the development / enhancement of architectural viewpoints, models, roadmaps and designs to map out and evolve components that align within the CFMWS enterprise architecture. This requires the completion of comprehensive business transformation and architecture assessments as well as complex reviews in support of system / infrastructure needs of our product.

Responsible for leading change for on‑prem / cloud adoption and / or hybrid, and taking the vision and overseeing the entire chosen process for the product. Developing, maintaining the co‑coordination of the adoption process is paramount.

Responsible for understanding CFMWS’s Business, Application, Information (Data), Security and Technology / Cloud domains and the effective integration of solutions into the broader business and IT landscape.

They define, develop, evaluate and contribute towards architecture policies, standards, guidelines, best practices and ensure compliance with CFMWS and industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, or in a related field, AND some years of experience in technical architecture, application architecture, solution architecture or in a related field

Certifications in TOGAF, IASA (IT Architect) or Azure Cloud, an asset

Experience
  • Five (5) + years of experience in Solution Architecture with demonstrated expertise in one or more architecture domains such as business, information / data, application / integration, technology / cloud, security.

OTHER INFORMATION

This is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.

You may be eligible to receive a Scarce Skills Premium for this position as outlined in the attached IT Scarce Skills Compensation Agreement.

The selection process will be done virtually.

This position is a two‑year term.
