ABOUT THE TEAM

The Enterprise and Non-Investment Risk team plays a central role in safeguarding PSP Investments’ strategic and operational integrity. We are a cross-functional group responsible for the governance, oversight, and continuous enhancement of the organization’s risk management framework and practices. Our work spans investment and non-investment risk domains, integrating risk awareness into all levels of the business.

As a key contributor in the Enterprise Risk function, you will be responsible for supporting risk strategy, governance, and execution across the organization. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to embed a proactive, forward-looking risk culture that supports strategic decision-making and operational resilience.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As a Senior Advisor, Enterprise and Non-Investment Risk, you will:

  • Maintain and continuously enhance the ERM framework and its supporting activities, ensuring alignment with the Risk Appetite Statement and Board reporting requirements, including risk management reporting templates and dashboards

  • Lead and own the identification, assessment, and monitoring of risks by analyzing operational risk data from departments, open-source monitoring and reporting, and through discussions with internal stakeholders and providing actionable insights to senior leadership and the Board

  • Establish and maintain governing documents such as risk appetite statements, policies, and procedures ensuring alignment with industry standards and changing internal practices

  • Support the integration of risk management practices into business planning, operational processes, and strategic initiatives across all lines of defense

  • Facilitate and lead cross-functional risk assessments, such as risk and control self-assessments, scenario analyses, to help develop reports and insights appropriate for senior leadership and the Board

  • Produce and develop clear, concise, and impactful risk reporting for senior leadership, incorporating strategic analysis and actionable recommendations that shape organisational priorities and decision-making

  • Collaborate with internal audit, second line functions, and business groups to build consensus on, and to ensure, cohesive and effective risk mitigation strategies

  • Champion a strong risk-aware culture by delivering training, communications, and engagement initiatives across the organization

  • Provide guidance and expertise on maintaining and updating risk registers, issue tracking, and operational loss and event processes, ensuring accurate categorisation of root causes and driving continuous improvement initiatives

  • Manage the business requirements to maintain and update technology solutions that support evolving risk management needs and functions

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or related field

  • Eight (8) to ten (10) years of relevant experience

  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining enterprise risk management frameworks, policies, and governance documents aligned with industry standards and Board requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to lead risk identification, assessment, and monitoring processes, including data analysis and providing actionable insights for senior leadership

  • Strong expertise in risk reporting and communication, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and impactful reports and dashboards for executive committees and the Board

  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and integration of risk practices into business planning, operational processes, and strategic initiatives across all lines of defence

  • Bilingualism English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
