A leading insurance provider in Toronto is seeking a business-minded actuary to handle pricing across various products. The role involves developing analytical methods, collaborating with partners to implement pricing strategies, and providing actuarial expertise on product design and corporate planning. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of P&C experience and strong analytical skills. We are looking for a business-minded actuary to handle the pricing for different products . You are more than a pricing actuary, you understand the demands of an external partner, as well as the ins-and-outs of price modelling . You provide excellent actuarial advice and influence decisions using analysis and data. You thrive in a fast-moving environment where your opinion and experience are valued.
This position will also be responsible for providing statistical expertise , researching new pricing methods, and ensuring a smooth implementation of rating plans and algorithm changes across Canada. Additionally, you will be expected to provide actuarial expertise related to product design, corporate planning, and underwriting/segmentation analysis.
