Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking an Activation Aide in Ontario to coordinate, plan, and facilitate activities for residents. The role involves coordinating programs, purchasing supplies, decorating spaces, and documenting outcomes to ensure engaging and meaningful activities within the community.

The Activation Aide will work with therapy programs and other staff to support residents, assess needs, and help create personalized goals for activity participation.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, gerontology or related field.
• Experience in planning, documenting and evaluating programs for seniors.
• Ability to collaborate with pet/music/art therapy programs and connect residents with community.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and plan activities and programs for residents.
• Purchase supplies, decorate and set up event spaces.
• Facilitate activities for small and large groups and events.
• Oversee and assist residents, document attendance and progress notes.
• Collaborate with other therapy programs to enhance resident well-being.
