PFM Packaging Machinery Corporation is currently seeking to add to their accounting team. The successful candidate must demonstrate that they are detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments, conducting account reconciliations, and preparing bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
  • Conduct account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
  • Prepare bank reconciliations to verify cash balances and transactions
  • Verify hours, do summary and invoice service work orders
  • Yearend assistance as required
  • Invoice customer for machine progress payments and final payment
  • Checking expense reports and AP invoice postings for accuracy
  • Find errors and make corrections as needed
  • Assist Accounting Supervisor with day to day operations
  • Provide guidance and training to accounting administrators
  • Phone coverage and bank deposits as needed
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and payroll processes
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments
  • Degree in accounting
  • Willing to take ownership of tasks and responsibility for their completion
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong knowledge of full cycle accounting
Experience and Benefits
  • Minimum 3 year experience in an accounting role/department
  • It is considered an asset if you have experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with intercompany transactions for a US subsidiary is an asset
  • Supervisory experience is preferred
  • Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
