Overview

The Senior Accountant is responsible for leading the entire financial close and reporting cycle, ensuring strict adherence to IFRS/GAAP across multiple business units. This role acts as a key financial steward, providing actionable insights for decision-making, driving process improvements, and maintaining strong internal controls.

What you will be doing
  • Lead the monthly and quarterly financial close, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Implement and monitor robust accounting policies and internal control procedures.
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations, review financial risks, and resolve discrepancies with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and coordinate all external and internal audit documentation.
  • Drive process and system improvements to enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff to build team capability.
What you must have
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is required (candidates actively pursuing will be considered).
  • Minimum 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expert knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, financial controls, and financial reporting standards.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in cost, inventory, and labor accounting.

Salary Range: $95,000 – $110,000 CAD
