About the Opportunity

With a rich history spanning over 50 years, the firm is dedicated to addressing both professional and personal accounting requirements of its clients.


The Role

We are actively seeking experienced Senior Accountants to join our full-time staff. These roles are integral to our service offerings in accounting, tax, financial advisory, estate planning, corporate restructuring, and risk advisory.


Key Responsibilities


  • Managing assurance engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and staff supervision in a mid-sized firm setting.

  • Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of ASPE, ASNFPO, and CAS.

  • Excelling in client relationship building, leading a team of professionals, and ensuring timely and accurate accounting work.

  • Overseeing the preparation of audit, review, and compilation working papers, financial statements, and disclosures according to GAAP.

  • Ensuring precise preparation of corporate, trust, and personal income tax returns.

  • Leading the team in preparing special reports, financial forecasts, and client-requested projects.

  • Setting an example in training and mentoring staff, upholding firm standards.


Requirements

About the Ideal Candidate


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience.

  • CPA designation and active member status.

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in the aforementioned areas.

  • Proficiency in Caseware, with knowledge of Jazz.

  • Ability to work remotely 2 or 3 days a week.
