Qualifications

• Experience with SYSPRO ERP system is preferred.
• Full cycle month-end accounting experience required.
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel, including macros and pivot tables.
• Good oral and written communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Full ownership of month-end close duties, including journal entries.
• Cash management including daily monitoring of bank accounts.
• Preparation of weekly cash flow forecasts.
• Assist with reviewing working papers and training staff.
• Assist with tax compliance for Canadian and US tax.
• Drive bank and annual audit activities.
• Suggest process improvements and maintain internal controls.

Skills

Experience with SYSPRO ERP system

Full cycle month-end accounting experience

Working knowledge of US GAAP

Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel

Working knowledge of Canadian income and commodity tax (HST)

Experience in AR / AP functions

Strong analytical and financial modeling skills

Good communication skills

Adaptable in fast-paced environments
