Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of public practice audit experience required.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members is a plus.

As a Senior Accountant [Audit] responsibilities
  • Collaborating with colleagues to deliver exceptional service to clients under varying reporting frameworks across different industries and sectors
  • Planning, preparation and execution of financial statements with appropriate note disclosures
  • Planning, preparing and executing financial statement audits, reviews and compilations, including budget and resource requirements
  • Planning and executing fieldwork assignments including budget and resource needs
  • Contributing to the building of our reputation as the preferred business advisors in key sectors of our growing practice
  • Supervising, coaching and providing timely feedback to junior engagement team members on diverse engagements
  • Other duties as required

Requirements
  • Completed post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
  • CPA accreditation or approaching completion
  • Minimum 2 years of public practice audit experience
  • Strong technical expertise in audit and accounting
  • Strong focus on exceptional client service and relationships
  • Strong planning and time management skills
  • Proven problem solver with solid analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions
  • Ability to successfully work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members considered an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office suite and Accounting software applications, with ability to quickly grasp new technology tools
