Job summary

The Weir Group, through its Micromine Vancouver operations, seeks a Senior Accountant to oversee regional accounting for the Americas. Based in Vancouver with hybrid work, you will tackle multi-entity financials, optimize controls, and drive process improvements leveraging AI and automation.

You will bring 5+ years of accounting experience, CPA designation, and strong Excel/NetSuite skills to influence record-to-report, revenue, payables and inventory processes while coaching junior staff.

Qualifications

• CPA designation or an equivalent recognised accounting qualification.
• At least five years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Strong technical accounting, control, accrual and month-end close capability.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with NetSuite or a comparable ERP.
• Experience across multiple entities, currencies or complex operating environments.
• Sound judgement, clear communication and a practical continuous-improvement mindset.
