Job summary

Pan American Silver Corp. in Vancouver is seeking a Senior Accountant to support monthly closes and consolidated reporting. You will manage financial records, assist with ICFR documentation, and drive reporting system improvements using Workiva, Oracle EBS, JDE and Oracle FCCS.

The role requires a CPA with 3–4 years of IFRS experience, SOX/ICFR knowledge, and strong Excel and ERP skills. You will collaborate with regional teams and external auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Purpose and Overview:

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant in our Vancouver office. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting, this role will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accounting records to support periodic financial closes and related consolidated financial reporting. They will also be responsible for managing existing reporting systems and leading new reporting system development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review regional reporting packages and communicate regularly with regional accounting offices.
• Prepare corporate consolidation and elimination adjustments for operating and non-operating subsidiaries.
• Review consolidation of non-operating subsidiaries.
• Prepare/review schedules and reconciliations for significant account balances, such as inventory and mineral properties, plant and equipment, investment, and loan facilities.
• Prepare monthly cash flow schedules.
• Assist with the preparation of the internal monthly financial report and supporting schedules and reconciliations.
• Prepare supporting notes, schedules and reconciliations for quarterly and annual Financial Statement and MD&A preparation.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to provide supporting audit documentation for internal controls over financial reporting (“ICFR”) in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Sec 404 (“SOX”) while maintaining existing positive auditor working relationships.
• Utilize Workiva, Oracle EBS, JE Edwards (“JDE”) and Oracle FCCS softwares.
• Assist as needed with other ad-hoc projects.

Required Professional Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with 3 to 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience with documentation of ICFR in compliance with SOX (e.g., process narratives, flowcharts, risk- assessment workbooks etc.).
• Experience with complex consolidations for a global multi-jurisdictional, multi-currency organization.
• Knowledge of advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize competing demands.
• Experience working effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• A self-starter with a strong work ethic and can-do attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Public company experience.
• Mining sector experience.
• Workiva, Oracle or JDE experience.
• Spanish or Portuguese language skills (verbal and written).

Salary Range

• CAD $85,000-$105,000 (annually)
