Welcome to a world of less data entry and more data integrity. Welcome to the Rightsline reality!

We are seeking a Senior Accountant that will report directly to the Controller. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the month-end close process, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting process improvements as the company scales. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys building structure in a high-growth tech organization.

We're looking to fill this role in a hybrid environment.

What you will do:
  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
  • Maintain and reconcile revenue recognition per ASC 606 for subscription and professional service contracts.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages.
  • Partner with FP&A, Operations, and RevOps to ensure data accuracy and alignment between systems (e.g., CRM, billing, and ERP).
  • Support annual audits and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to system implementations.
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis and special projects, such as KPI tracking or acquisition integration.
  • Support tax compliance activities, including preparation of information for corporate income tax filings, sales tax, and other indirect tax reporting.
  • Manage inter-company transactions, ensuring proper recording, reconciliation, and elimination for consolidated financial statements.
What you will bring to the role:
  • 4+ years of accounting experience within a high-growth environment
    • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a technology company (SaaS experience strongly preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced credentials such as CPA, CMA, or MBA are highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of federal, state, and local tax compliance requirements, including reporting obligations and basic regulatory knowledge.
  • Strong proficiency in US GAAP, with hands‑on experience applying ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) in a SaaS or subscription-based business model.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving, analytical, and critical‑thinking capabilities, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to build relationships across teams and functions.
  • Experience leading a team, demonstrating ability to guide, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, modeling, and data analysis tools.
Compensation:
  • Competitive Compensation and Health & Dental Benefits
  • 401K / RRSP Match Program
The Rightsline Advantage:
  • Rightsline was the very first cloud‑based rights and contract management platform, so we’re used to innovation.
  • You will become part of an amazing culture with a supportive executive team, smart colleagues who truly care, and a global team that’s been rocking this virtual collaboration thing since before anyone had ever heard the term COVID‑19.
  • You’ll often hear “Yes, let’s try that!” and then have the chance to execute your ideas.
  • You will grow more here than you would at any other company. That’s a promise.
  • A People First Company - 4.2 rating on Glassdoor
