We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant with strong experience in cost accounting, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR). This role is critical to maintaining the financial integrity of the business, ensuring accurate cost and transactional reporting, and supporting continuous process improvement. Our ideal candidate is a strong communicator, team player, team builder, and emerging leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Primary Responsibilities
  • General Accounting: Prepare and post journal entries (e.g., accruals for expenses). Perform monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations and intercompany accounts. Assist with the preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement). Conduct variance analysis and support month-end and year-end close processes. Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Partner with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and physical inventory counts.
  • Treasury: Record receipts and clear payments. Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and company records. Credit card reconciliations.
  • Broker Commissions: Calculate and record broker commissions based on agreements and contracts. Ensure timely and accurate payment of commissions to brokers. Reconcile commission accounts and investigate discrepancies. Prepare detailed reports on commission payments for management review.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, with hands-on involvement in cost accounting, AP, and AR.
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Premier Accounting Software.
  • Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations).
  • Working experience in manufacturing or food production environment preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead by example and work independently.
