The Role

Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the company by assisting with monthly and year-end reporting, financial analysis, and ongoing management support. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely financial information, maintaining strong internal controls, and contributing to strategic decision-making.

In this Role you will

  • Assist with monthly financial adjustments and associated monthly financials and variance analysis for internal purposes
  • Assist with year-end reconciliations and working papers
  • Assist with preparation of Board Meeting materials
  • Assist with preparing statements of adjustments and coordinating receipt of closing proceeds for land
  • Liaise with Cost Administration for constant improvement and budgeting
  • Assist with property tax, valuing properties, paying bills, etc.
  • Provide ongoing financial support to the management team
  • Assist with the reporting on overhead costs and variances
  • Assist with preparation of financial models and ROI’s for future projects
  • Assist all members of the team in times of heavy volume or special “one-off” project or at the request of management with regards to any accounting or administration work
  • Assume full cycle bookkeeping duties for smaller entities within Richcraft Group of Companies

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a closely related field would be considered a strong asset
  • CPA Certification or working towards would be considered an asset
  • Tech savvy. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Attention to detail and consistently produces accurate, high-quality work.
  • Ability to manage multiple shifting priorities
  • Self-starter with the attitude of rolling up your sleeves and get the job done
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
