Job Details

We are offering an exciting opportunity for professional advancement and growth in the role of Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate is an energized doer with proven hands‑on experience in accounting.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Finance Manager with all reporting and day‑to‑day activities.
  • Daily cash management, cash balance/forecast updates, cheque runs, EFT payments, cheque deposits.
  • Extract chargeable hours report, send to operations, adjust reported hours as required.
  • Weekly roll‑forward cash flow forecast in Excel and review with management.
  • Prepare weekly management reports including cash and liquidity, sales activities, order book, labour utilisation, profitability of jobs.
  • Extract and submit bi‑weekly payroll hours to HR.
  • Month‑end duties: journal entries, intercompany chargebacks, financial statement analysis and preparation, HST filing.
  • Bank reconciliations: one account weekly, four/five accounts monthly.
  • Expense and credit card report/payment entry.
  • Assist in budgeting, audit sample preparation, year‑end inventory count.
  • Other ad‑hoc duties such as document filing and supplier inquiries.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in accounting.
  • Knowledge of GAAP practices for private enterprises, ideally manufacturing.
  • Post‑secondary education with a diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks and/or ERP; Epicor is ideal.
  • Experience in job costing, budgeting, and ERP integration.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Working toward CPA designation (preferred).

Work location: In person, Newmarket, ON, on site. Salary: $75,000 – $98,035.70 per year. Full‑time, Permanent.
