Senior Accountant

Location: Lloydminster, AB

Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Jetstream Personnel Consulting is seeking a Senior Accountant on behalf of our client — a respected and growing organization in the Lloydminster area. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to play a key role in maintaining financial excellence and supporting long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP
• Support internal and external reporting requirements and financial analysis
• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliations
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures
• Oversee Accounts Payable processes, including vendor payments and reporting
• Support Accounts Receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations
• Assist with audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements within the finance function

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance , or a related field (required)
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience , including at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP , financial reporting, and tax compliance
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Epicor experience preferred)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• CPA designation (or working toward it) and experience in manufacturing or oilfield industries are considered assets
