Position Overview
Senior Account Manager – T&HS US / CAN
Location: Canada – Remote, Home Based Toronto (GTA)
Reports To: Director Sales – T&HS Canada
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to build long‑term value for key customers.
- Build and maintain multi‑level relationships across all functional touchpoints to drive growth and address challenges.
- Work with management to develop demand forecasts, business plans and sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets.
- Collaborate with Technical Service Marketing Growth Platforms and other stakeholders to identify and close new opportunities.
- Advise customers on innovative solutions and design trial plans to meet their needs.
- Lead contract negotiations, deliver accurate proposals and manage RFPs; oversee pricing through the PROS system.
- Control sales territory budget, manage expenses and report accurate sales activity.
- Conduct market analysis and maintain effective communication channels within Ingredion to support pricing, initiatives, technical requirements and product development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering or Business; MBA a plus.
- 7+ years of direct sales or technical sales experience in the food and beverage industry.
- Proven track record managing complex accounts at multiple touchpoints and delivering results.
- Excellent written and oral communication; strong presentation skills.
- Strong organizational, time management and negotiation skills.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM systems.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
