Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Account Manager will focus on our largest and complex national customers. In this role, you will handle critical, complex fresh (fast-paced) products that require excellent client relationship skills to maintain competitive positioning.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop account plans to establish and maintain account relationships and meet personal sales targets.
  • Develop strong client relationships that provide significant input to planning product, price and service strategies.
  • Leading cross functional teams to provide value added services to accounts and provide solutions to help grow business.
  • Provide leadership supportin developingnew market opportunities.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma/certificate or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (such as Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in the food industry
  • Previous working experience in PowerBI, Salesforce and SAP.
  • Availability to travel as need
  • Possess a valid Canadian full class 5 driver’s licence in good standing authorizing you to drive independently during the course of your employment
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fresh product supply chain experience
  • Experience in national retail key account sales
  • Knowledge of case ready, beef and or pork markets
