Walmart Canada in Oshawa is seeking a Self-Checkout Attendant to support a fast-paced, friendly checkout experience. You will assist customers with self-checkout, promote programs, and keep the area clean and safe.

This role requires flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays. You’ll handle alarms, Scan & Go equipment, and document issues, contributing to efficient store operation and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain Self Checkout Area Standards: maintain a clean, safe, and organized self checkout area, ensuring it remains free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and spills.
• Promote Walmart Programs and Initiatives: supports the promotion of company sponsored programs, including credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable initiatives, when applicable.
• Support Customers at Self Checkout: helps customers use self checkout quickly and confidently by offering assistance when needed, monitoring activity, and completing required checks. Escalate cash or technical issues to the Customer Service Manager.
• Respond to EAS Alerts and Complete Documentation: responds to EAS alarms in accordance with procedures and accurately completes the “Failure to Deactivate” log.
• Manage Scan & Go Equipment: ensures Scan & Go scanners are returned to their designated storage locations after use.
