You will assist customers processing transactions through the self-service area, keeping the checkout zone neat, organized, and functioning smoothly.
At Walmart, you’ll be part of a team delivering exceptional customer experiences and helping Canadians save money to live better. This role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe self-checkout environment while educating customers and supporting efficient self-service checkout operations.
As a Self-Checkout Attendant, you will keep the area neat, clean, and organized, removing debris or spills promptly. You will educate customers on efficient use of self-service options, observe activities to determine when assistance or quality checks are needed, and provide courteous support.
You will promote company programs (e.g., credit card service, product protection, charity initiatives) when applicable, respond to EAS alarms and complete the “Failure to Deactivate” log, call the Customer Service Manager for cash or technical issues, and return Scan & Go scanners to their home station after use. All tasks follow company policies and aim to maintain a smooth checkout process.
