About the team you are joining

You will be joining the Information Security team in the Information and Data (I&D) Division.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing IATA’s-wide cybersecurity awareness programs, training initiatives, and educational campaigns. You will also strengthen the aviation industry's cyber resilience by cultivating a culture of cybersecurity awareness across aviation.

This role plays a critical part in fostering a culture of cyber vigilance and reducing human-related security risks through tailored, engaging, and measurable awareness strategies.

What your day would be like

You will be responsible for:

  • Develop and implement a strategic cybersecurity training and awareness program.
  • Build a Cyber Champion Network across IATA’s business and technology to embed security awareness across company and foster a culture of shared responsibility.
  • Design and deliver role-based training for various aviation stakeholders.
  • Create engaging cybersecurity awareness campaigns to promote safe digital practices and threat recognition.
  • Ensure training content aligns with international aviation cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and update training materials to reflect evolving threats, technologies, and compliance needs.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to harmonize cybersecurity education efforts across the aviation ecosystem and integrate cybersecurity into broader training and compliance programs.
  • Conduct regular assessments to measure training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct phishing simulations and other behavioral assessments to evaluate employee readiness and response.
  • Report training metrics and outcomes to senior leadership and regulatory bodies.
  • Support incident response readiness through targeted education and simulation exercises.
  • Advocate for a cybersecurity-conscious culture across all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure a consistent and unified voice across cybersecurity.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in cybersecurity, education, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in education, with at least 2 years focused on cybersecurity training, education and human factor in multinational companies.
  • Proven track record in developing and delivering cybersecurity training programs across diverse roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate and present technical cybersecurity concepts into accessible, engaging content.
  • Strong understanding of threat actor motivations, attack vectors, and cyber kill chain models, with experience in information security, phishing campaign, business email compromise tools.
  • Experience working in or with the aviation industry is highly desirable.
