Job summary

OCS is seeking a Security Supervisor in Windsor, Ontario to lead the security team and provide first-line manned guarding for the contract. Reporting to the Security Manager, you will ensure safety for staff and visitors, manage emergencies, and uphold high security standards on site.

The role requires strong communication, initiative, and teamwork. On-site work with opportunities for professional growth and formal SIA licensing compliance in related regions may be relevant.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the security team and first-line guarding of the contract site.
• Provide an exceptional level of service to staff and visitors.
• Act as point of contact for emergencies and coordinate responses.
• Operate and control CCTV to monitor premises.
• Conduct regular site patrols and identify security risks.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, licensing, and risk assessments.
• Communicate effectively with security team and other departments.
• Train and mentor new security staff.
• Prepare and maintain records and reports of security operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising the security team, providing exceptional first-line manned guarding to the assigned contract
• Providing an exceptional level of service to all staff and visitors to the site
• Acting as a point of contact for all emergency situations, ensuring swift and effective responses
• Operating and controlling the CCTV system to monitor and secure the premises
• Conducting regular patrols of the site to ensure all standards are maintained and identifying any security risks
• Ensuring compliance with all identified legislation, including Health & Safety, SIA Licensing, and Risk Assessments
• Communicating effectively with the security team and other departments to ensure seamless coordination
• Training and mentoring new security staff to ensure they meet the required standards
• Preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports related to security operations

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria

• You must have the right to work in the UK
• Must hold a valid SIA licence
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• A professional demeanour
