You also utilize PPE and write detailed incident reports thanks to your excellent written communication skills.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Working at industrial sites and warehouses can present many hazards and obstacles. Your ability to anticipate and quickly address these inquiries is an exciting aspect you love about your position. Along with patrolling the facility regularly, your outstanding attention to detail ensures all entries to secure areas are authorized.
  • Supervise the Security staff assigned to the site and act as a resource for security issues.
  • Ensure all reports are complete and accurate, follow up on inaccuracies, and escalate incidents as required.
  • Keep the site running safely by conducting necessary equipment tests and audits, maintaining records, preparing incident reports, and other safety incident documentation.
  • Ensure all officers on site have gone through all necessary training including site orientation.
  • Monitor performance and behavior of officers and follow the progressive discipline steps when standards aren’t being met.
  • Schedule officers to make sure that all shifts are covered and assist with shift coverage where needed.
  • Perform site patrols and desk duty as well as responding to all necessary calls.
  • Provide after-hours on-call support for site Security Operations, including providing emergency response to the site after-hours.
  • Compile accurate statistics monthly as requested.
  • Participate in regular scheduled client and company meetings.
  • Be a safety ambassador for the site.
  • Perform other duties as required and/or requested.
YOU'RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:
  • Have a minimum of one year of supervisory security experience or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Ability to lead, plan, organize, delegate and problem solve.
  • Effective communication, both in writing and verbally, including delivering presentations to groups.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • High functionality in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated professionalism in all situations.
  • Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of the TrackTik patrol software and Perspective reporting system.
  • Hold a valid OFA 1 certification or are willing to obtain one.

Valid BC Security Licence
