Job summary

Paladin Security in Halifax is seeking a Security Program Manager for Patient Watch (Operations) to oversee all patient watch guards, including full-time, part-time, and casual staff. You will lead the 8-hour training program for new hires, ensure adherence to procedures and healthcare privacy laws, and provide daily management and support across the portfolio.

The role requires strong leadership and coordination.

• Liaise with Operations, CSMs, PRCs, and scheduling for seamless coverage.
• Oversee extra coverage shifts dedicated to their portfolio.

Security Program Manager - Patient Watch(Operations)

• Managing Patient Watch Guards : The SPM will be responsible for overseeing all patient watch employees, which includes full-time, part-time, and casual employees.


• Training : The SPM will conduct or coordinate the 8-hour training program for newly onboarded guards, ensuring they are knowledgeable in procedures, regulations


• Supervision & Support : The SPM will provide daily management and support to all guards in their portfolio, ensuring proper scheduling, compliance with security protocols, and addressing any concerns or issues.


• Coordination with Other Operational Stakeholders : The SPM will liaise with other divisions of the security team including Operations, CSM’s, PRC’s and scheduling to ensure seamless operations, particularly when extra coverage or specific protocols are required for specific high profile properties


• Oversight of Extra Coverage : The SPM will oversee the extra coverage shifts dedicated to their portfolio

Education Requirements (All)

High School Diploma
Post-secondary Education in Security or Police Foundations, or relevant work experience within the security industry

Certification Requirements (All)

First Aid, CPR Level C
Code of Conduct/Vulnerable Sector Check
Valid Class 5 License
