Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Professional Security Guard for an industrial site in Belle Plaine, Saskatchewan. The position is described as casual with a pay rate of $27 per hour and shifts spanning Monday to Sunday.

The role requires familiarity with access control, alarm monitoring, CCTV, report writing and on-site safety procedures, plus a Saskatchewan guard certificate or willingness to obtain it. On-call availability and a valid Saskatchewan driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Must have Saskatchewan security guard training certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Company will provide security guard training if needed.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada at 30 hours per week or more.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Must be at least 25 years old.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must be available to work on-call shifts.
• Must have access to a reliable vehicle.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Must be a permanent resident or Canadian citizen.
• Must have a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional, customer-friendly image at all times
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site-specific training, follow direction and guidance from theSite Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate goodjudgment, common sense and decision‑making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment, Completion of site‑required training
• Vehicle Gate and Console duties
