Allied Universal is seeking a Security Professional - High Profile - Retail in Vancouver, BC. This full-time role pays $23.00 per hour with a Sunday to Thursday shift from 10:00 to 19:00. Two openings.

Responsibilities include site surveillance, high visibility coverage, access control, and incident reporting to keep personnel and assets secure. Requirements: 1–2 years in security, valid BC security license, 18+ years old, able to work up to 40 hours weekly, and First Aid/CPR.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in security roles.
• Must have a valid BC security license.
• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in Canada (40 hours/week).
• First Aid and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Site surveillance and routine patrols to secure premises and monitor entry points.
• Maintain high visibility at designated posts and protect sensitive areas.
• Enforce site access protocols and log visitor entries.
• Maintain clear radio communications and report incidents promptly.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and coordinate with emergency services.

Job Title: Security Professional - High Profile - Retail Location: Vancouver, BC (Oakridge) Type: Full time Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour Shifts: Sunday to Thursday, 1000hrs - 1900hrs Vacancies: 2 openings Overview : We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Security Professional - High Profile - Retail to join our team. This position involves providing security and monitoring services, with a focus on maintaining a safe and secure environment for all personnel and assets.Successful candidates must have the ability to stand for long periods of time (duration of shift). RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Site Surveillance & Patrol: Perform regular patrols of the site and surrounding areas to ensure the security of the premises. Monitor all entry points for unauthorized access.
• Visibility & Coverage: Maintain high visibility at the designated posts. Ensure security coverage near sensitive areas within the site.
• Access Control: Enforce site access protocols by verifying the identification of authorized personnel, logging visitor entry and exit, and ensuring that gates and doors remain securely locked when not in use.
• Communication: Maintain clear and constant communication via radio with other security personnel. Report incidents, unusual activities, or security concerns promptly.
• Emergency Response: Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, or security breaches. Contact emergency services and assist as necessary.
• Incident Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of all security activities, incidents, and patrols. Complete shift reports and provide detailed handover notes for the next shift.
• Site & Asset Protection: Prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access to site materials and equipment. Ensure all property is secured at all times.
• Compliance with Safety Procedures: Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures on-site, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all personnel.
• General Security Duties: Ensure the overall safety and security of the site and surrounding areas by addressing any security risks or safety concerns that arise during the shift.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-2 years of experience working in Security
• Must have a valid BC security License
• Must be at least 18 years old or above for insurance purposes
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
• First Aid and CPR
