About the Role

Paladin Security is seeking a skilled and professional Security Operations Centre (SOC) Operator to support the University Health Network and West Park Healthcare facilities in Toronto. This critical role involves monitoring healthcare command centre systems, coordinating emergency responses, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of operations.

As the SOC Operator, you will act as the central communication point for the site—responsible for surveillance monitoring, access control, and dispatching responses to incidents across the hospital network.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily security operations and support staff deployment.
  • Operate command centre systems, including CCTV, access control, and fire/life safety systems.
  • Serve as the primary dispatcher and respond to incidents in real time.
  • Conduct emergency overhead announcements and assist with crisis coordination.
  • Handle visitor management, ID/access card distribution, and Lost & Found procedures.
  • Maintain detailed incident reports and daily logs.
  • Collaborate closely with security supervisors, site coordinators, and hospital administration.
  • Provide professional communication and support to clients, visitors, and team members.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Proficient in English (oral and written)
  • Proof of double COVID-19 vaccination
  • Valid Immunization Record (MMR, Varicella, TB tests 1 & 2)
  • First Aid & CPR – Level C (WSIB Approved)
  • Experience working in a command or dispatch centre
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
