Job description

Commissionaires BC is proud to provide security services to a Government of Canada Public Safety site located in Burnaby.

We are currently looking for security professionals who would be interested in working at a high profile Government of Canada site, and are comfortable and able to go through a Top Secret Clearance process.

Successful candidates will need to have an open availability, including weekends and overnight shifts.

Ideal candidates would be :

• Able to provide superior customer service to both customers and clients
• Experienced in following strict protocols and dealing with emergency situations
• Be of good character and sound mind,
• Honest and trustworthy
• Reliable
• Capable of obtaining a Top Secret Clearance.
• In possession of valid BC Security Licence and OFA 1 certificate or willing to obtain
• Able to work shift rotations including mornings, afternoons and graveyards

Top secret clearance requirements :

• Minimum of 10 years living Canada
• Must hold Canadian citizenship
• Have no criminal record or association with criminal activities (including family, friends and acquaintances)
• The test itself comprises of : Completion of comprehensive paperwork Thorough and intense investigation on past activities, associations and your character Examination of vices, dishonesty, and financial status Polygraph Test – Must complete and pass testing
• Please note – due to the nature of the clearance, processing times can take 10-12 months to complete. Commissionaires would be able to offer temporary employment in the meantime
