Job summary

Paladin Security Group is seeking a Security Guard for a Government Infrastructure site in Vancouver. The role involves patrolling facilities on foot, reporting breaches, and working with BC Sheriffs' Services to ensure safety.

Responsibilities include de-escalation, handling medical emergencies, operating CCTV and access control, and documenting incidents. OFA2 certification and BC Courthouse Clearance are required or obtainable. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have prior security experience.
• Able to pass BC Courthouse Clearance background check.
• OFA2 (Occupational First Aid Level 2) certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Strong computer skills and experience with security software and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Patrol building facilities on foot to maintain security of people, property, and equipment.
• Identify and report security breaches, safety hazards, and emergencies to appropriate responders.
• De-escalate and manage high-stress incidents including medical emergencies and crowd control.
• Collaborate with BC Sheriffs' Services to maintain site safety and order.
• Use two-way radios and computer applications to monitor site activities.
• Operate CCTV, access control, fire alarms, and intrusion alarms.
• Write detailed incident reports and maintain daily documentation.
• Provide customer service to visitors and staff and assist with wayfinding.
• Perform facility lockups and other tasks to support site operations.
