Job Description
  • Patrols assigned areas maintaining buildings and grounds safety & security, responds to emergency situations, assists in searches, and observes and reports safety hazards
  • Responds to and assists with emergency and assistance calls, or other situations; notifies the appropriate emergency personnel as needed
  • Assists with building evacuations and crowd and traffic control
  • Acts in response to suspicious persons and situations, safety hazards, and unusual or illegal activity in the premises
  • Completes logs or reports pertinent to duties or daily activities
  • Inspects and maintains emergency and safety equipment and reports malfunctions
  • Attends to door lock / guest room safebox issues
  • Carry out investigations when required
  • Escort personnel when required
Key Requirements
  • Preferably 1-year related experience in safety, security, or fire prevention work
  • Fluent in security industry standards and methods
  • Professional experience in the areas of conflict resolution, de-escalation techniques, and threat response
  • Proven ability to handle tough situations with tact and discretion and the ability to function at a high level during stressful situations
  • Must hold and maintain applicable security certifications and licenses
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent time-management, communication, incident report writing, and organizational skills
  • Dependable team player with business acumen and enthusiasm
  • First Aid/CPR certified preferred
  • Cert trained preferred
  • Must be flexible on schedule, including availability for weekends and holidays
  • Valid PLRD Security License
