Job Description
- Patrols assigned areas maintaining buildings and grounds safety & security, responds to emergency situations, assists in searches, and observes and reports safety hazards
- Responds to and assists with emergency and assistance calls, or other situations; notifies the appropriate emergency personnel as needed
- Assists with building evacuations and crowd and traffic control
- Acts in response to suspicious persons and situations, safety hazards, and unusual or illegal activity in the premises
- Completes logs or reports pertinent to duties or daily activities
- Inspects and maintains emergency and safety equipment and reports malfunctions
- Attends to door lock / guest room safebox issues
- Carry out investigations when required
- Escort personnel when required
Key Requirements
- Preferably 1-year related experience in safety, security, or fire prevention work
- Fluent in security industry standards and methods
- Professional experience in the areas of conflict resolution, de-escalation techniques, and threat response
- Proven ability to handle tough situations with tact and discretion and the ability to function at a high level during stressful situations
- Must hold and maintain applicable security certifications and licenses
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Excellent time-management, communication, incident report writing, and organizational skills
- Dependable team player with business acumen and enthusiasm
- First Aid/CPR certified preferred
- Cert trained preferred
- Must be flexible on schedule, including availability for weekends and holidays
- Valid PLRD Security License
