Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is hiring a Security Officer to oversee security across the casino, ensuring guest and staff safety and maintaining a calm, secure environment. You will protect the company from theft and fraud while delivering strong customer service in a fast-paced setting.

The role complies with gaming regulations and offers full-time benefits and development opportunities, with a probation rate of $21.63/hr and $24.03/hr thereafter.

Qualifications

• Valid Security Worker Licence.
• Serving It Right certificate required prior to start (employer will sponsor).
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Attention to detail and good judgment.
• Basic computer skills and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a presence on the gaming floor and respond to guest inquiries quickly.
• Control access to the facility and particularly to sensitive areas.
• Monitor alarm panels and control and issue keys.
• Write reports, maintain a daily log and conduct investigations.
• Provide First Aid and medical attention as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a presence on the gaming floor and be able to respond to guest inquiries quickly.
