Security Guard Supervisor

Location: Yellowknife, NT X1A 0C1. Work setting: On site, various locations. Salary: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour. 40 hours per week. Permanent, full time. Overtime required. Starts as soon as possible.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule work.
  • Be the point of contact for handling emergency situations.
  • Prepare and submit progress and other reports.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Supervise, coordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers.
  • Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies.
  • Administer first‑aid and other assistance.
Qualifications
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non‑university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a related field.
  • Certifications: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Security Guard License.
  • Criminal record check required.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk and work under pressure; standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, judgment, organization, reliability, team player.
