Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard – Pharmaceutical Site in North York, ON. The role requires a G-Class license, 1–2 years of security experience, and a willingness to work swing shifts.

Pay is $20.58/hour with full-time hours and vaccination requirements for certain vaccines. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with access control and CCTV, and the ability to operate under high-security standards in a pharmaceutical environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or relevant work experience.
• 1–2 years in a high-security environment (hospital, corporate office, etc.).
• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• Valid Ontario G-Class Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Eligible to work full-time (40 hours per week) in Canada.
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
• First Aid & CPR certification or willingness to obtain (reimbursement provided).

Responsibilities

• Monitor access control systems and CCTV.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility (foot and vehicle).
• Maintain a strong security presence in a high-profile environment.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, management, and security teams.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm and efficient manner.
• Complete detailed reports and maintain accurate logs.
• Ensure smooth shift transitions and consistent site coverage.
• Perform site inspections to uphold strict security standards.

Title: Security Guard – Pharmaceutical Site, Swing shift Type: Full Time Location: North York, ON (close to Dufferin and Steeles) Pay Rate: $20.58/hour Shift: Various, Swing Rotation

Valid Ontario G-Class Driver’s License with a clean driving record required

Site Requirement – Vaccination

Due to the high-profile pharmaceutical environment, selected candidates will be required to provide proof of vaccination for the following:

• Diphtheria
• Pertussis
• Tetanus
• Flu

Provincial coverage applies where available. Any additional costs associated with the vaccination process will be covered by Allied Universal.

• Standard First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain; reimbursement provided)
• Experience with CCTV monitoring and access control systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer use
• Physically able to perform extended foot patrols (indoor and outdoor)
• Ability to operate a vehicle in all weather conditions
• Capable of standing/walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 15 kg
• Strong communication and customer service skills
