• Authorized to work legally in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises to ensure safety.
• Monitor entry points for authorized access only.
• Inspect and screen bags or cargo.
• Greet visitors and ensure adherence to hospital policies.
• Document daily activities and incidents accurately.

Job Position

Position: Part‑Time Security Guard

Address: 1030 Ouellette Ave, Windsor, ON N9A 1E1

Hours: Continental Rotation (08:00‑20:00)

Payrate: $22.07 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol Hospital Grounds: Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits to ensure safety. Daily lock and unlock of facilities.
• Access Control: Monitor entry points, allowing only authorized individuals access to restricted areas.
• Inspect and screen bags or cargo using hands and screening equipment.
• Perform searches of passengers with tools by hand.
• Monitor and screen passengers through checkpoints and other procedures.
• Customer Service: Greet visitors, patients, and staff; provide directions; ensure guests follow hospital policies.
• Conflict Resolution: De‑escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts calmly and professionally.
• Report Writing: Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately in reports.
• Collaboration with Hospital Staff: Work closely with staff and local law enforcement to coordinate security efforts.
• Enforce Hospital Policies: Ensure visitor and patient protocols are followed; address violations in line with safety standards.

Prerequisites

• Valid Security License for Ontario
• Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (WSIB‑approved)
• Diploma in Police Foundations, Protection Security & Investigations, Border Services, or Criminology
• COVID‑19 vaccine, two doses
• Immunization records for MMR & Varicella, two‑step TB skin test
• English fluency (oral and written)
• Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
• Applicants lacking UOF/MOAB can enroll in Paladin's training program prior to onboarding (training costs covered with 6‑month commitment).
• Authorized to work legally in Canada
