Position

Site: Schaeffler, 151 Wright Blvd, Stratford, ON N4Z 0A2
Hours: Sat & Sun (1100-2300hrs)
Pay Rate: $21.17/hr.

Job Description / Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols to ensure site safety, security, and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Control access by monitoring entry and exit of employees, visitors, and contractors; unlock and secure buildings as scheduled.
  • Maintain a professional, visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, and prohibited activities.
  • Monitor CCTV, alarms, and security systems; investigate and respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and policy breaches.
  • Prepare accurate incident, activity, and maintenance reports using electronic guard tour systems.
  • Provide courteous assistance to staff and visitors, de-escalate conflicts, and support individuals in distress.
  • Liaise with police, fire, and medical personnel during emergencies and assist with evacuations or crowd control as needed.
  • Manage key and equipment sign-out logs, handle lost and found items, and report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
  • Provide first aid or medical response when required and ensure all responses are documented.
  • Work independently or collaboratively, maintaining communication and professionalism at all times.
  • Be flexible for shift work, regional deployment, and travel between sites (own transportation required).
Requirements
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Level C
  • Ability to sit/stand and walk throughout the building
  • Ability to walk/climb stairs, push minimum 25 lbs
  • Able to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods Program Clearance
  • Clean Vulnerable Sector Check & Credit Inquiry
  • 3 Professional and 3 Personal References
  • Lives in Canada for the last 5 years
  • Must be on Permanent Resident or Citizenship Status
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
  • Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to onboarding to meet the position requirements
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

Note: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all training costs with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability.
