Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team.

What our exceptional Commissionaires are responsible for
  • Maintaining a positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients
  • Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and deportment
  • Completing daily logs and written reports as necessary
  • Drop off pick up mail from Denison Armory
  • Pick up medication from Denison for students and staff
  • Drive VIPs, students and staff for events and appointments
  • Completing daily logs and written reports as necessary
  • Maintain military vehicle fleet and fill out, update and renew trip tickets for vehicles in the fleet
  • Send invoices monthly to the financial department at CFC to pay off credit cards owned by transport
  • Airport pick ups and drop off at both Toronto Pearson and Billy Bishop
We are excited for you to offer us
  • *MUST* Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • *MUST* Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
  • *MUST* Have a military Drivers Licence (DND404)
  • Must have a level II (Secret) Clearance (requires 10 years of residency in Canada)
  • Must have secondary school diploma.
  • Minimum 1 years of Security Guard experience
  • The ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential
  • High attention to detail
  • Customer services/reception/administrative skills.
  • Strong understanding of computers
  • Preference given to Canadian Armed Forces, RCMP or Allied Veteran

What the job offers you

Hourly Rate of Pay: $27.40

Location: 215 Yonge Blvd,North York

Schedule: Monday-Friday 0700-1500 (Weekend/STAT Holidays off) Starting ASAP
