Paladin Security is proud to be providing professional security services for a major international sports event taking place in 2026. This world‑class event will attract hundreds of thousands of fans from across the globe, bringing an exciting, fast‑paced atmosphere to the city.

As part of our Team, you will play a key role in maintaining safety, order, and a positive guest experience. You’ll work alongside local municipalities, police services, emergency responders, and event management teams to ensure the safety of all attendees, staff, and participants.

This is an unmatched opportunity to gain valuable experience in large‑scale international event operations, work in a diverse, dynamic environment, and be part of one of the most anticipated global sporting events hosted in Canada.

Pay Rate will be $21.93/hour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage access control: verify credentials, check tickets/IDs, screen bags and personal items.
  • Monitor crowd flow and behavior: identify potential risks such as overcrowding or disruptive conduct and intervene appropriately.
  • Conduct patrols and surveillance of venue areas, both interior and exterior (as required), ensuring restricted zones are secure.
  • Respond to emergencies or incidents: coordinate with law enforcement, medical, fire, or other emergency services as needed.
  • Assist attendees with customer service – giving directions, assisting with venue navigation, liaising with event staff.
  • Report incidents, suspicious behaviors or security breaches promptly and accurately. Maintain logs and communicate with supervisory staff.
  • Pre‑event and post‑event duties as required: set up, venue inspection, debrief, exit flow management.
Requirements:
  • Experience in large‑scale event security (for example: 5 events with >1,000 attendees) OR one year of experience as a security supervisor.
  • Valid British Columbia Security Licence and legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Valid Basic First Aid / Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA1).
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk and patrol for extended periods during the event.
  • Comfortable operating under pressure in crowded settings and with changing conditions.
  • Must maintain a professional, alert presence, and work well in a team environment.
