Allied Universal in Oshawa, Ontario is hiring a Security Guard for full-time night shifts. You will provide constant surveillance, protect people and property, and maintain a visible security presence on site.

Responsibilities include incident reporting, threat assessment, professional communication, assisting customers and staff, and swift emergency response while coordinating with law enforcement as needed. Must meet licensing and age requirements.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in the security sector.
• Must have Ontario Security License.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours/week.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Familiarity with operating technology and wireless communication systems.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• First Aid and CPR.

Overview

We are looking for Security Guard - Full Time - Nights who is tasked with providing constant surveillance, protection, and a visible security presence within the client's site. This role typically involves standing for extended periods—often for 8 hours or more during a shift.

Responsibilities

• Incident Reporting:Document and report incidents accurately, ensuring all relevant details are captured for future reference and analysis.
• Maintain a visible security presence:Staying stationed at a fixed location within the retail premises to deter theft, vandalism, or other suspicious activities.
• Threat Assessment:Evaluate situations to determine the level of risk and recommend appropriate responses.
• Professional Communication:Maintain clear and professional communication through email correspondence with team members and other stakeholders.
• Assist customers and staff: By providing directions, answering safety-related questions, and offering assistance as needed, without disrupting the flow of operations.
• Emergency Response:Act swiftly in emergency situations, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
• Documentation and Record Keeping:Maintain accurate logs of incidents, inspections, and other relevant documentation for compliance and review.

Requirements

• Must have a validOntario Security License.
