Qualifications

  • Must live within 30 minutes of Fort Vermilion.
  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle.
  • Availability for overnight, weekend, and varied shifts.
  • Ability to obtain Alberta Security License.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence & personal vehicle.
  • Physical ability to walk 18–20 km and climb stairs.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

  • Conduct traffic and pedestrian control at access points.
  • Patrol assigned areas on foot or in vehicle to ensure security of personnel, equipment, and buildings.
  • Watch for and report irregularities, breaches, hazards, and emergencies.

Responsibilities
  • Apply strong decision-making and communication skills in all security duties.
  • Ensure all Safety and Emergency Procedures are followed.
  • Follow site-specific Post Orders and attend all required training.
  • Receive direction and guidance from Supervisors and Client Service Managers.
  • Conduct traffic and pedestrian control at access points.
  • Patrol assigned areas on foot or in vehicle to ensure security of personnel, equipment, and buildings.
  • Monitor the environment for hazards or safety infractions.
  • Watch for and report irregularities, breaches, hazards, and emergencies.
  • Provide assistance to individuals as required.
  • Contact emergency responders (police, fire, ambulance) when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of information.
  • Respond to inquiries professionally and appropriately.
  • Use two-way radios and computer applications.
  • Conduct oneself with professionalism and integrity.
  • Promote workplace safety and support co-workers to uphold Paladin standards.
