Job description

As a Security Guard with Securiguard in Campbell River, you'll be more than a uniformed presence‑you'll represent safety, professionalism, and reliability at a high‑profile site. This role is ideal for individuals who are attentive, dependable, and confident in maintaining a secure and professional environment. Security Guards play a key role in ensuring the safety and comfort by providing visible deterrence, responding promptly to incidents, and supporting day‑to‑day site operations.

Location
  • Campbell River
Pay Rate
  • $300 / day, eligible for daily overtime
Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to both the client and site visitors
  • Respond to incident / emergency situations and follow required protocols
  • Coordinate with the police or emergency personnel when required
  • Provide visual security presence
  • Detect and deter unauthorized persons
  • Provide access control and ensure there is no unauthorized access to the site
  • Patrol designated areas and scan check points in an outdoor environment
  • Conduct radio check ins, alarm response and security report writing duties
  • Identify and report safety hazards
  • Perform regularly scheduled site duties as required by client's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Report Frequent shift activities and security breaches
  • Submit a daily written report
  • Maintain consistent records using company issued notebook
  • Share and align with Securiguard's core Values - Respect, Empathy, Accountability, Courtesy & Honesty
Requirements
  • Valid BC Security License
  • Valid BC Class 5 Drivers License
  • Excellent customer service and communication
  • Must be comfortable being able to work alone and in group settings
  • Must be comfortable working 12 hour shifts
