Location : Canadian Forces Maritime Experimental and Test Ranges (CFMETR)- Nanoose Bay

Shifts : Various days, evenings, and overnight shifts

Reports to : Site Supervisor

Starting Wage : $20 / hr - 21.53 / hr

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide superior customer service to clients and the general public.
  • Provide access control and security foot / mobile patrols as needed.
  • Proactively respond to and resolve emergency situations and conflicts.
  • Complete evacuation and emergency response procedures when necessary.
  • Using mobile phones and basic computer programs.
  • Communicate problems or concerns to the site supervisor.
  • Possess excellent multi‑tasking, problem‑solving, prioritizing and organizational abilities.
  • Know occupational health and safety regulations – training provided.
  • Perform all duties with high safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Have or be able to obtain a Government of Canada level II (Secret) security clearance
  • Must complete the Commissionaire Security Officer Course.
  • Must be physically fit and able to walk patrols.
  • Must be able to work in a range of weather conditions throughout shift.
  • Must be fluent in the English language - written, verbal and reading skills.
  • Have excellent attention to detail and incident report writing skills.
  • Have excellent problem solving skills with an ability to handle stressful situations in a calm manner.
  • Have the ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations.
  • Have superior customer service skills.
