Job summary

A.S.P. Incorporated is seeking a Halton Region Security Guard to join its team at various corporate sites. The role emphasizes highly visible, professional security service, incident reporting, and coordination with staff and visitors.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Minimum 1 year of prior security experience.
  • Must possess an Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Must possess valid First Aid, CPR and AED certification (Standard Level C).
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for full-time staff; casual requires two days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Provide protection from theft, vandalism, and trespassing.
  • Conduct locks and unlocks of doors, gates, and fences.
  • Office support such as reception tasks, receiving mail and packages, and answering phone calls.
  • Monitor properties via CCTV and Access Control System.
  • Ensure visitor logs are signed on arrival and departure.
  • Engage in professional, collaborative, and proactive security services.
  • Perform foot patrols on site as required.
  • Investigate, report, and respond to incidents and alarms.
  • Ensure all site equipment is secure.
  • Comply with OHSA, AODA, CCC, and PSISA regulations.
  • Manage keys and equipment like cellphones and radios.
  • Provide customer service and collaborate with visitors, staff, contractors.

HALTON – SECURITY GUARD

Are you passionate about safety & security and seeking an opportunity to join ASP’s Halton Region Security Team?

A.S.P. Incorporated has provided security and customer service solutions for over 25 years to Canadian clients. We employ more than 1,300 employees and are a subsidiary of ICTS Europe, which currently operates in 25 countries and employs more than 18,000 security professionals worldwide. We provide services including security, customer service, K9 detection, concierge, and baggage handling to a wide range of clients such as residential properties, commercial facilities, retail spaces, as well as some of the largest airports in Canada.

ASP is looking for Security Guards for Halton Region’s headquarters, corporate properties, and other locations, with both static and casual roles available. Candidates must possess previous security experience and be able to provide highly visible service in a professional, competent, and courteous manner, whilst exercising excellent communication and customer service skills. Working with integrity and awareness, the Security Guard takes responsibility for securing and protecting our clients, their guests and vendors, and the Region’s properties.

Who you are:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum of 1 year of prior security experience
  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Ability to work in both indoors and outdoor environments, think critically, perform safely, and work with a team
  • Must possess an Ontario Security Guard License
  • Must possess valid First Aid, CPR and AED certification (Standard Level C)
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including radio use
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week is mandatory for full-time staff, inclusive of holidays and weekends
  • Availability of two days per week is mandatory for casual staff
  • Able to walk extended distances, including stairs, in all weather conditions
